CLARK ELSTER May 17-18 We are very excited to have Clark Elster back for this special workshop devoted to the painting of clouds in pastel. With demos daily, Clark will approach the landscape from a low horizon vista to enhance the skies and clouds. Watch and learn as Clark paints one calm and one stormy sky to illustrate the fundamentals necessary to achieve drama and color vibrancy using both soft pastels and the new PanPastels and a palette knife. For any student serious about painting the ‘big picture’ landscape in pastels, this workshop can’t be missed. Clark is a dedicated instructor and definitely one of the Cloud Kings. A founding charter member, Clark Elster is past President and Signature member of the Northwest Pastel Society, a member of the Oregon Pastel Society and past President of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters. His paintings have been featured in the American Artist magazine and are in private, corporate and public collections in the US and abroad.
