Come and play with Carol in this workshop inspired by her recent trip to South Africa. Experiment with acrylics, watercolors, inks, gold leaf and exotic papers, while learning to create abstract art, using some non-western patterns, textures and motifs.  Bring an old failed painting and Carol will assist you in giving it a ‘facelift’.  No one has more FUN making art than Carol!  Her enthusiasm about art and art making is infectious.  Her generous artistic spirit will infuse you with the confidence to find the ‘artist within’.  You’ll laugh a lot and learn a lot in this workshop of chaos and collage, paint and paper, the new and the old.  All levels welcome.  Some materials will be provided.

Carol Merrick received her fine art training at the University of Washington and the Centrum Foundation. She is a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, the Northwest Collage Society, Women Painters of Washington and International Society of Experimental Artists.  Carol is also one of the founders of the original Bellevue Art Museum.  She was a featured artist in the Winter 2006 issue of the American Artist Watercolor magazine.
