This workshop is for the pastel painter who has some experience with the medium, and is interested in developing a stronger commitment to composition and content in their paintings. By establishing a more personal approach to using shape, value, and color, you can learn to create a dynamic, sensitive, and uniquely personal statement about the subject. Drawing and painting from nature, working on customized support surfaces, and creating compositions in the studio from field studies are at the heart of the class. The class will consist of both indoor and outdoor activities. This is an opportunity to come out of your comfort zone with Susan as your ‘safety net’. “The painting process is about listening, learning something new, letting go…and enjoying the ride!”
Susan Ogilvie exhibits nationally and has work in many corporate collections. She has received numerous awards and travels throughout the US as a juror, lecturer and workshop instructor.
